Our Worship

Here at UBIC, It's my goal to have our worship be real.  I've been in worship experiences where I honestly felt like it was a show.  I want our worship to be Christ centered, Spirit led and under the authority of God the Father.  I believe that worship is a life that one leads.  It's a lifestyle.  Most of our worship should take place outside these walls.  It is a discipline that must be learned and practiced.
I believe that when we come together for corporate worship the Holy Spirit is here, because that's what the Bible promises.  Whether we choose to be submissive to His leading and truly experience Him is up to us.

Our music is mainly comprised of modern contemporary worship songs written by people like Chris Tomlin, David Crowder, Matt Redman, Paul Baloche and Rita Baloche, Darlene Zchech, Ron Kenoly, Michael W. Smith and other contemporary worship leaders.  We also enjoy singing older hymns that help us who grew up in church reconnect with our past and bring a timelessness to our services.  Some of the songs that we sing like All of Me, A Blessed Thing, Come Home, Standing By, We praise You Lord, Lord We Wait, Jesus You're Worthy, and Celebrate Your Name are songs that I have written.  As a worship leader and a songwriter I believe that the songs you sing in church must be easy to learn, easy to remember, and exciting to sing.  I think that worshipping God should be an experience that we long for.

In our church we have all kinds of worshippers.  We have folks who praise God by clapping or raising their hands.  We have people that worship by standing in quiet reverence and just soak up the words on the screens.  We have those who like to move around or kneel during worship.  We want you to be free in the way that God has told you to worship Him.  We are all different, and that's one of the things that makes the Body of Christ so awesome.

Hope to see you in worship!!
